Understanding Your Role in the Club

Role of Players

The club expects players to conduct themselves in a manner that enhances the reputation of the club. This applies whether they are on the field or off the field.

Players must show respect to all officials and club volunteers who donate their time to helping the club to operate.

Players must respect all their team mates irrespective of differences in skill levels or other social groups they may belong to.

Players need to understand that everyone develops at different rates over a long period of time.

It is our goal that by the time players are 18 years of age they should have been exposed to a variety of positions and should show competency & seek improvement in:

  • warrior mentality
  • the reading of game situations
  • the process of decision making
  • the courage to take initiatives
  • the collective game (defence & attack)
  • the ability to communicate
  • the ability to concentrate
  • composure to maintain our playing style in even the most difficult game situations
