Training to Commence
Bonnet Bay FC’s application to Sutherland Shire Council for teams to start training has been accepted. Teams may start training as soon as their Coach or Manager completes the Agreement below acknowledging they will work within the required guidelines.
We are required to provide the information below to all our members to enable you to familiarise yourself with the COVID-19 restrictions around training. These guidelines have been developed by Football NSW in conjunction with its insurers and approved by Sport NSW and Sutherland Shire Council. Any operations outside these guidelines will jeopardise insurance cover for organisers (eg coaches and managers) and may affect the approval of games commencing later.
You will note the guidelines are quite similar to those currently applying to external sports exercise groups ie max of 10 participants and social distancing applies. The guidelines are based on a template developed by the Australian Institute of Sport which has emphasised the importance of starting training with fitness work. This makes social distancing easier and also helps prepare bodies for competition to follow in a few weeks. Teams of similar age have been scheduled to train at the same times and we encourage coaches sharing time-slots to work together to make this work. Combined groups will be essential in some cases.
It will be awkward working to these guidelines but we are sure most will agree that is better than nothing,
Each team has two time-slots approved. For most teams (not all) this is a mid-week and a weekend time-slot. If a time-slot does not suit your team you may apply for a change. You must get approval first so we can meet Public Health requirements.
Coach & Manager Agreement
Before Commencing training the Coach or Manager of each team must complete the following agreement to comply with the relevant guidelines which are set out below.
Please take time to look over the attached guidelines before completing the agreement below.
All being well we hope to start a shortened season in early July. More details on this will be available shortly.
